They went their separate ways soon after but the insider told the magazine they looked more than just friends. According to Star magazine Jen had intended a flying visit to New York while promoting her new perfume but was bombarded with romantic messages from John. A source said: "At first Jennifer was afraid to respond to John's messages because she was afraid he'd break her heart again. "The emails were especially poetic — like love songs. He said he'd never stop loving her and he's been very, very persuasive."
