O ator brincou com o ocorrido durante o programa de rádio: “Eu sou um pouco bad boy”,disse o ator. “Aliás, eu ainda não tenho certeza de que a minha mão estava no bumbum dela. Acredito que tenha sido apenas o ângulo da foto”, depois Gerard deu uma boa gargalhada e disse que ainda não tinha visto a foto. Os entrevistadores não ficaram convencidos. Durante a entrevista, ainda sob pressão dos radialistas, Butler continuou negando que estivesse namorando Jen. "Faz dois anos que dizem que somos um casal. Não faria nenhum sentido negar isso por dois anos. Se eu estivesse mesmo saindo com Jennifer Aniston eu ficaria muito feliz em assumir, mas simplesmente não é verdade".
